Ashley Cruz was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. Since childhood, Ashley has always been creative, and has explored various forms of making art, including making jewelry, stained glass, drawing and painting and of course attending art shows! She loves to collect art from other artists, just as much as she loves creating it.

In 2019, Ashley began her journey in Fluid Art and in 2023, Ashley found a new perspective and guidance during her time in The Abstract Refinery Class and Coaching Program with the Australian Artist, Ange Miller.

In essence, Ashley is a mixed media artist whose artistic statement is inspired by the multifaceted interplay between color, nature, and psychology. Her creations serve as a visual dialogue, inviting viewers to engage with the organic forms, textures, and patterns found in the natural world as they find their way into her abstract art. The unexpected is a theme that resonates in Ashley’s work, through hidden imagery found in the colors at play and within the personal perspective of the viewer, she asks, “what do you see?” Ashley’s artwork invites the viewer to join her in a playful journey of curiosity and exploration through the viewer's own imagination and the colors at play.
